Coastal Community
Tourism Lab

Founder

My childhood was defined by the peaceful days I spent growing up in the care of my grandparents in Hai Phong. In my memories, the Port City was more than just bustling docks; it was a sanctuary of pristine islands and ancient fishing villages breathing with the rhythm of the sea—especially Cai Beo, where the floating houses swaying on the waves became an inseparable part of my soul. This deep-rooted connection compelled me to found the Coastal Community Tourism Lab to safeguard my homeland’s heritage through a core initiative:

We organize workshops on English for tourism and photography skills for children in the Cat Hai island district and Cai Beo village. By mastering the lens, these children learn to observe and cherish the beauty of their birthplace through new perspectives. My goal is to empower them with the confidence to become 'Junior Guides'—capable of leading tours, narrating stories of maritime livelihoods, and promoting the unique charm of their villages to international visitors.

This project is not only my way of honoring the childhood memories shared with my grandparents, but also a dedicated effort to ensure that ancestral villages like Cai Beo remain vibrant, resilient in their identity, and sustainable in the modern world.

MOSAICO
Film Festival

General Director

To me, heritage is not something frozen in the past; it is a living narrative that must be carried forward through a contemporary lens. Driven by my passion for photography and a constant search for new ways to share cultural stories, I founded the MOSAICO Film Festival. My vision was to create a space where young people don’t just observe heritage from a distance, but actively engage with it through the language of cinema.

The name MOSAICO is inspired by the art of mosaics—where individual fragments (tesserae), each unique in its own way, unite to form a complete masterpiece. At MOSAICO, I view every film as a one-of-a-kind 'tessera.' When these personal perspectives on people, memories, and traditions are placed side by side, they reveal a vibrant and multifaceted portrait of Vietnamese heritage.

In my role as General Director, my goal is not simply to organize a competition, but to build a community of young creators who dare to use their cameras to 'redefine' traditional values. I believe that when the youth start telling their own stories about heritage, that is when our culture truly comes back to life
